Rebecca Fotsch, JD knows how to get a legislative agenda passed, and in this course, she will teach you the tricks of the trade- from the elevator pitch to committee testimony. Learn how to tailor your message to different political audiences, including policy makers, the public, legislators and your constituency. As you progress through the course, you will build a policy packet of resources that you can use to get your policy initiative passed. 

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the participants will be able to:

  1. Communicate complex ideas in simple terms to persuade policy makers.
  2. Create concise, impactful resources to persuade decision makers to support your policy.
  3. Tailor your message to different political audiences including policy makers, the public, legislators and your constituency.

This course will have a live discussion on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. CST. Attendance is recommended, but not required.
