
Full course description
It is incumbent upon all nurses to take aggressive actions to protect our colleagues, our patients and ourselves. This includes gaining the knowledge, skills and abilities that are needed to participate in the pandemic response and to keep nurses as well as patients safe. As a profession, now is the time to make sure we have all the knowledge we need.
Objectives
Upon completion of each of the modules listed below, participants will be able to:
- Select proper COVID-19 testing methods and interpret common diagnostic findings.
- Synthesize current clinical data on experimental medications for COVID-19.
- Describe nursing care of the symptomatic patient in the acute care setting.
- Develop the communication techniques necessary to maximize the care of the COVID-19 patient via telehealth.
