Full course description
Make your new practice of nursing more relevant and effective
As a new graduate nurse, you will need to continually define priorities, find supporting evidence and then implement what you learn. To do this, you’ll need to understand the research process, including how to write researchable research questions and then propose practice guidelines to supervisors/and or your team.
Transition to Practice (TTP) Course 3: Evidence-based Practice will help you develop these skills early in your practice of nursing. Targeted exercises will help you apply what you learn immediately in real-life situations, helping to boost positive outcomes. This course may also be used as an adjunct to a nursing education program.
Designed for busy new graduate nurses
As part of the TTP series, this highly interactive course is based on the findings of the 2011-2013 TTP extensive research study.
After completing this course, you’ll be able to:
- Define evidence-based practice
- Write a researchable clinical question
- Describe how to find answers to the clinical question
- Explain the connection between research evidence and practice guidelines
