Full course description
Help new nurses transition to practice, while boosting your own career growth
You've been asked to precept a new graduate nurse. While you are eager to share your passion for nursing, you'll need to balance your own busy workload with the added responsibility of training and encouraging the new nurse.
NCSBN's Transition to Practice (TTP) Course for Preceptors will teach you the nuts and bolts of being a preceptor. This companion course to the five TTP courses for new graduate nurses, will give you activities to engage and empower the nurses you mentor.
Being a preceptor, I am learning more than if I am just practicing. ~TTP Preceptor Comment
Preceptor help designed for busy nurses
As a complement to the TTP series, this course is based on the findings of the 2011-2013 TTP extensive research study. Whatever your practice setting, you'll gain a practical and research-tested plan to help new graduate nurses under your wing grow and thrive.
[It's been said] that nurses eat their young. Now, actually nurses are nurturing their young. ~TTP Program Preceptor Comment
